I did a lot of research on tv's prior to purchasing this model. I was deciding between a Samsung and a Sony. I went with the Samsung as it had excellent reviews. Amazon listed the price cheaper than Best Buy, Circuit City, Sears, etc...and those store will prob. not match Amazon prices. The television is exactly what I wanted. The picture is excellent and it has many features. Movies look great. I do agree with others that the sound quality is not the greatest but I'm willing to overlook. Amazon's white glove service is tops as well. I got it less than a week after I ordered it - and they came and plugged everything in. It was great.

A Sight To Behold


This is my first HDTV and what an amazing set it is. For just a hair over a grand I purchased a glorious TV. This set has amazing picture, serviceable sound, and eye pleasing aesthetics. I'm still in awe from when it was delivered.

I encourage anyone who is apprehensive about purchasing this online to lay your doubts to rest because the price can't be beat for the timely and prompt delivery service. Plus, as a bonus, there is no shipping or tax to concern yourself with.

Enjoying movies, games, and TV programs have never felt so pleasurable. Do yourself a favor if you've been stalking this product and pull the proverbial trigger. You'll thank yourself for it.

Excellent TV


I bought this TV after doing a bit of shopping online and stores. In stores Sony matched Samsung in picture quality and was better in sound. However it seems that the TVs were not plugged via HDMI in the store I checked. However Samsung's price tag swung it for me. I think Sony and Samsung beat the likes on Sharp, Vizio etc hands down in picture quality.

Ordering was easy and I got credit when the price fell further. The TV was delivered one day ahead of schedule. I am in California and the order status showed waiting on customer even though no one from Ceva had called me. When I called them, they said they usually call in later in the day. They came right on time and delivered and set it up for me. Really good service no complaints at all.

I connected my comcast box to my TV and I got crisp picture. The standard definition channels are OK but HD channels are really good. I tried connecting my box to TV via coaxial cable, HDMI and component video. HDMI is the thing! Picture quality is better with HDMI than component (I may be mixing the terms here, this one had three video and two audio wires). One thing to note was how much difference HDMI made to the sound quality. if you think your sound with Samsung is bad, try HDMI connections. I have not really tried tuning the picture settings as yet and I am fine with the factory settings so far.

I have watched some action movies via comcast and I did not notice the blur as such. The black levels look good. The TV comes with a swivel stand which is convenient for me. I am very happy with this TV and would recommend it to anyone.

We were worried about the sound quality when we chose the Samsung because of one bad review. NO PROBLEM. It is great on low or high. The picture quality is awesome and so are the other features. Can't believe we can have a slide show on the TV! We love this set!! Everyone is mesmerized by the incredible HD picture. We received our order from Amazon in only 3 days plus the man brought it right into our den and unpacked it. Wonderful service, we could not be more pleased!
